I love the look of black denim – dressed up or dressed down, this color can be sleek, casual, and very flattering. This weekend I paired my new favorite black jeans with a chambray button down (similar chambray) and booties.
Running around downtown this weekend, I was comfortable, but still felt put together. Plus, I had brought one of my little munchkins with me and I didn’t feel like I had to pull or tug on anything – which can be a nightmare with some outfits!
If you don’t have a pair of black denim in your closet, you need to get a pair now. From the classic skinny jean, distressed, or even basic with a frayed hem, you can find a pair that works for you in a multitude of ways.
I have a couple of splurge pieces in my look, but also a couple of save items. A good black purse – save. I found mine on sale during the Nordstrom yearly sale. It’s a great time to find an investment piece that you’ve been eyeing without breaking your budget too much. And you can start saving now and hopefully grab one next summer!
I saved on my jeans and top – both pieces I found under $100, and for jeans, it’s a great deal. It may have been a little more expensive for the shirt I’m wearing, but here is a less expensive shirt (on sale today too!). All the items are pieces I’ve had for a while – the shirt has been in my closet for almost two years, yes two! It’s a great basic that you’ll want to keep around.
Finding an outfit that works for you that you already own, doesn’t have to be hard, and if you’re struggling, contact me, I’ll be happy to help!
