I’m not going to lie, I am hardly shy when it comes to sharing what I want for Christmas. I used to send links of what I wanted directly to my husband. Crazy? Probably, but I usually got exactly what I wanted. He made sure to throw in a surprise or two, but I didn’t have to make any returns!
This year, I’m going to hopefully make it a little easier for you as well. I’m putting together what I may want from Santa this year and some of the things may be on your list too.
First up, clothes! I don’t think you can ever go wrong to ask for leggings or shoes. Your sizes should be easy for someone to find in your closet, or you can leave little hints around the house.
My wish list includes these Sorrel wedge boots. They are cute enough to run around in snow, but also to wear out to dinner or running errands. Also, running shoes. Get a head start on your New Year’s resolutions by having your gear ready to go.
A sweater and jeans may be tricky to ask for, but if you’re out and about shopping, try some on and keep a note on your favorite jeans. When you’re not dressing up, this bomber is a cute alternative for your pre and post-workout gear. I think it would also be cute to wear with jeans while running around town.
One of the best ideas to give your loved ones are accessories. I love this bracelet from Kendra Scott, it may be on the higher end of a budget, but it’s a classic piece that you’ll be able to pair with anything. My husband gave me an initial necklace for our anniversary this year, and I’ve been wearing it non-stop. As a delicate piece, you can layer it with longer pieces or even statement jewels. On the higher end of my wish list are the sunglasses and watch band. I lost my aviators a while back, but I loved the classic style of these and the color. Scarves are also great to get – you can never go wrong with buffalo plaid, and you can grab a few to give to others. And if you’re going to ask for purses, be sure to get ones you can use year round, like this tote. As a mom, I feel like it can hold everything and still look pulled together.
Other options to give people are your favorite perfume or makeup that you’re wanting in your arsenal. Perfume is tricky if you’re still trying to find your favorite scent, but you can always let your spouse or mom that you’re running low on your bottle. A lip trio is great to give and get so you can try on several colors without making a big investment. This gloss trio from Stila would be great to try out for only $20. For those with great makeup skills, the Naked palette is a winner. I have this one and love being able to try out different looks, without looking like a clown.
And lastly, options to give your in-laws. This throw with the pom detail look so cozy for winter nights and the color is neutral to go with your decor style. I’ve heard great things about this candle and it’s pretty enough to put anywhere in your house. To make sure you don’t have to move from your couch, Alexa to the rescue and for only $30, she’s going to be your new best friend.
So my list my be long, but why not have options in many price points to give out? Hopefully you’re able to find an option to share or buy yourself! Happy holiday shopping!
