As winter continues on and on, I’m a little burnt out on sweaters. Well, not completely, I mean, I still have some current cardigan crushes in my shopping cart. So instead of banishing all my sweaters in my closet, I choose to change up my look with a leather jacket. Well, faux leather, it’s cheaper, and well kinder to the animals.
I’ve had one in my closet from Victoria’s Secret for a long time, and I still love wearing it today. It’s a classic jacket that holds up year after year. Recently I picked up a jacket from my sister from H&M that she didn’t love on herself. Sisters for the win!
As a cropped moto jacket, its easy to throw on with jeans and a basic tee for every day errands.
Going to date night? Throw on a cami with a delicate necklace and heels. If it’s still cold outside, wrap yourself up with a blanket scarf to keep you warmish while running in and out of your car.
I also throw on a leather jacket over a dress. It’s an alternative to a jean jacket and can take a dress up a notch for a winter wedding or even a fancy date night.
I’ve had this dress in my closet for almost two years. Yes, my entire purging what you don’t wear in a few months goes out the window with this dress. It’s simple, but fun and a good piece to have in my closet. So this bends my rules a little bit. I did find a few that you may already have or want to add to your closet.
Below are a few options of jackets that would be good to add in your closet. Are you tired of wearing your sweaters? Try a faux leather jacket to mix up your wardrobe this week.
