Spring has sprung, no one has told Kansas City weather that yet, but it’s officially spring and Easter is right around the corner. I’m ready to break out my favorite spring dresses, tops, and sandals.
I’m a big fan of swingy dresses for work and for special occasions. When I found this dress at Loft, I knew it had to get in my closet. The bigger cuffs and floral print gave it a different feel than other dresses I tried on. While I paired it with my classic nude pump, I think you could easily do a flat sandal or even some over the knee boots if it’s still cold for bare leg weather. Here are some of my favorite nude shoes – from a pump to a flat, find the shoe you’re most comfortable in and invest in this color.
But if you’re willing to brave a frigid temp in the name of fashion, this basic heel will last you all year-long. There is just something about this classic silhouette that will always be a go-to piece in your closet. I’ll pair mine with a basic black pant or dress up my jeans for a date night. It will automatically make your legs appear longer – and who doesn’t want leaner and longer looking gams?
As for jewelry – with a spring time floral print, I like simple pieces. Go with dainty studs, a long necklace or just a simple statement ring. You have to decide what you want as the star of the show. The print? Your jewelry? Your face?
Although I mostly tend to stick to basic neutrals, I love that this floral print got me a little out of my comfort zone. So don’t be afraid of a print, but make sure you love it before you buy it, don’t just let it hang in your closet!
