Thanksgiving is next week, isn’t that crazy? It seems like after Halloween the holidays are back to back and schedules get crazy! Besides narrowing down the schedules, next to decide are the outfits, of course.
From family dinners to drink and parties with friends to company holiday parties, there’s usually a dress code for everything. Since I will probably be in leggings (shocker) and sweaters for most of my turkey day festivities, I also wanted to share some looks that would be on radar sans bump.
Here are some comfortable but classic sweater looks to enjoy all the food!
Cozy sweaters and comfortable booties are an easy way to look put together without a lot of effort. Not into distressed jeans? Ditch them, go with your classic skinny leg and you’ll look great!
Maternity and non-maternity gals can wear the look below. While it’s another twist on your basic sweater, I love the mock neck and step-hem on the sweater.
Not ready for booties? Keep your shoe game festive with leopard flats. A classic tan and black outfit is one of my favorites. Pair with tortoise earrings like these, and you’re all set. Plus, these jeans have stretch for all of that stuffing you’re about to gobble down!
Wanting to feel a little dressier but still have room to eat? I love a casual sweater dress. I love how cozy this one looks without looking too fancy. Pair with some over the knee boots and you’ll stay warm and stylish. Not a OTK boot fan? No worries, wear opaque tights with booties or a pair of cute mules and you’re all set.
Next up are holiday looks. I am hoping that we may have an excuse for a holiday party, although at this rate, it may be me living through Instagram stories of others! But for those cute pregnant mama’s, I’ve included a few looks that you will rock with your baby bumps.
I always think showing off a bump is cute, and why not have a little fun with sequins or an off the shoulder number? If you go with a statement piece, either clothes or shoe, it’s always better to let that piece be the showstopper. Find a simple top or shoe, or if both are classics, go with a statement earring (like these or these) – because accessories always fit when you’re pregnant!
For my non pregnant girlies, these are the great statements I found for holiday and even New Year’s Eve. Again, I’m crushing on sequins and velvet, but also loving going outside the box with a fun fringe skirt and classic blouse.
Not into sequins? No worries – I love pairing classic pieces, like red and black for holidays. Sometimes these outfits need to extend a little bit longer than this holiday season. Wear the black dress into spring with booties and wedges. Blush is a great color for fall and winter – it’s not your traditional color, which makes it easy to wear past New Year’s. But if you’re willing to step out of your style box, this velvet jumpsuit is a great piece.
So hopefully these looks give you a few ideas when trying to dress for your holiday festivities! Don’t be stuck in a style rut, have some fun with your holiday looks this year!
